In 2016, Sammie co-founded Buro Kleurstof together with Michèle Mutsters. The studio initially focused on set design and styling for events, as well as the design and realization of art installations for, among others, Solar, Into The Woods, Confetteria, and The Dutch National Opera & Ballet.

In early 2018, Sammie shifted her focus to television and film. She began her career as a props master and made her debut as an art director in 2019. In the summer of that year, she worked on her first television commercial as an art director, followed by her first feature film as a production designer in 2021.

​

Sammie uses her extensive knowledge of visual communication to develop strong creative concepts and brings them to life with care and precision. Through her strong sense of imagination and empathy, she creates immersive and vivid sets for every project.

She is known for her sharp eye for detail, strong aesthetic sensibility, and creative problem-solving skills. Her ability to think ahead and adapt quickly makes her a reliable and dedicated collaborator on any production.
